Thorny Situation

A few months ago I got a tractor off of Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, I forget which it was. A couple thousand dollars and I have Massey 65. Made in 1964, it’s been around longer than I have. The gauges don’t work, the brakes barely work and it seems like every time I take it out I find a new issue. I have to say that I love tractoring. It feels good to be out there with the brush-hog cutting through 5ft high weeds. Not enjoyable like sitting in AC drinking a scotch enjoyable, more the feeling like you are really getting something done sort. I did cut a large part of 80 acres on my Bad Boy ZTR mower and that was rough. On the tractor I can see all around and my intake of bugs, dust and pollen has dropped considerably. I did find out I can take out pretty sizable Honey Locust trees, then I later learned that they tend to bite back. I imagine at some point I’ll need to get something a little more modern and more reliable, preferably with a loader. Right now though I’m really enjoying this classic.
