Laverene and Shirley has now joined us on the farm. Two eight week old female Kunekune pigs we procured from a fellow just a couple hours away. We’ve only had them a couple of days thus far and I can tell I’m going to need to try to convert them over to a barrel with nipple drinkers. A pan of water seems to be a place to lay in and not a thing to drink out of. They’ve been respecting the hot wire (🤞) though I need to get more step in posts and expand the area they are allowed to roam in. The current spot has a shade tree and there is still a bunch of clover as well as other grass and is about 1000sq/ft. With acres and acres that could use chewing on I really need to expand the area.
